oil of lavender that has been highly regarded as a
burn treatment
since cosmetic chemist Rene Gattefosse used lavender oil to heal severe
burns suffered in a laboratory explosion. Lavender’s antiseptic and
anti-inflammatory properties, along with the unique ability to reduce the
formation of scar tissue and cell-regeneration abilities make this an excellent
choice for ultimate skin care.
This cooling mist assists the healing of most topical burns, ranging from
sunburn to second-degree thermal burns. It contains a highly purified
concentrate of aloe vera gel, freshly processed from the leaves of aloe
barbadiensis.
How to use:
Shake well before spraying on skin. Spray immediately on burns and continue
misting when necessary to cool the area. Spraying 4-5 times an hour and/or
follow with 2-3 drops of lavender for particularly uncomfortable situations.
*** Placing LavaDerm in the refrigerator is an excellent tip for a refreshing
cooling mist - - - not just from hot geographical temperatures . . . . but
treatment comfort as well. This may be additionally refreshing to sunburned
skin!
HeavenScent uses
Lavaderm on her dogs, especially one dog (a smooth fox terrier) who is prone
to itch, scratch excessively, amd/or continually lick a given area. This seems
to nip those disturbances in the bud, lasting about 8 hours.
Lavaderm is excellent for children – especially to spray on chicken pox
areas. Other oils may work better for chicken pox relief (Lavender, Melrose,
Sandalwood or Melissa), but for a very young child or baby Lavaderm is entirely
safe.
Caution:
Possible skin/surface area sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. Do not
spray into eyes - - - not that it would be entirely harmful but it is just a
good idea to keep all essential oils directly out of eyes. Do not expose to
excessive heat or direct sunlight.
