Diffusers WHY Diffuse Essential Oils Into Your Air
For
years now, indoor air quality has been a serious issue and it’s only getting
worse. That’s because the buildings we work in and the houses we live in are
becoming more and more tightly sealed for energy efficiency, trapping toxins,
pollutants and germs we breathe into our surrounding air. Diffused oils alter the structure of molecules that create odors, rather than just masking them. Diffusing oils increases oxygen availability by producing negative ions and releasing natural ozone. Many essential oils such as lemongrass, orange, grapefruit, Eucalyptus globulus, melaleucas (commonly known as tea tree), lavender, frankincense, and lemon, along with essential oil blends (Purification and Thieves), are extremely effective for eliminating and destroying airborne germs and bacteria. In addition, many of the essential oils detoxify harmful substances out of your body when they enter through your olfactory system - - - in the created therapeutic air you are breathing! A cold-air diffuser is designed to atomize a
micro-fine mist of essential oils into the air, where they can remain suspended
for several hours. Unlike
aroma lamps or candles, a diffuser disperses essential oils without heating
or burning, which can render the oil therapeutically less beneficial and even
create toxic
compounds.
Burned oils may become carcinogenic.
Start by diffusing oils for 15-30 minutes a day. As you become accustomed to the oils and recognize their effects, you may increase the diffusing time to 1-2 hours per day. Place the diffuser high in the room so that the oil mist falls through the air and removes the odor-causing substances. By connecting your diffuser to a timer, you can gain better control over the length and duration of diffusing. For some respiratory conditions, you may diffuse the oils the entire night. If you don’t have a diffuser, you may add several drops of essential oil to a spray bottle, add 1 cup purified water, and shake. You can use this to mist your entire house, workplace, or car. Other Ways to Diffuse Oils
Accidentally break the 3 1/2 inch glass nebulizer! No problem -- this diffuser is made to last a lifetime and replacement parts can be ordered at any time, including another glass nebulizer. An Interesting Note:
The January 2002 newsletter,
“Health & Longevity”, by Robert D. Willix, M.D. recommended lavender
essential oil in an aromatherapy diffuser for a perfect night’s sleep. He
also recommended trying a gentle foot massage with lavender and sesame
oil, 30 minutes before bedtime, and drinking a cup of chamomile tea. Unlike
pharmaceutical drugs, none of these remedies has side effects, nor are they
addictive in any way whatsoever. In addition, many prescription drugs for sleep
disorders lose their effectiveness after 30 to 60 days (and some case may even
cause dependency). For extreme cases of insomnia you can even place a
bottle of Lavender Essential Oil upside down on the diffuser and let it run
throughout the night while you sleep. The Young Living DIFFUSER is the best choice for Therapeutic Grade-A Essential Oils: EVERYONE benefits when essential oils are diffused into a room or larger area, including pets and human visitors as well. The essential oil blend of Purification truly eliminates orders such as cigarette smoke, cooking odors, pet odors, etc, instead of just masking the odor. There is much more to using a diffuser than “just a pleasurable aroma.” Many bacteria are defeated when a diffuser is utilized, thus greatly improving the odds towards a healthier body. Plus the vast majority of essential oils, such as lemongrass, lemon, lavender, Citrus Fresh, and Thieves, are highly antibacterial and are extremely effective for eliminating and destroying airborne germs and bacteria Start by diffusing oils for 15-30 minutes a day.
